Final Reflection

I have learned a lot of things this semester. I originally intended to come home simply to get well from an illness. I never anticipated that I would take a class like this while essentially rediscovering so much of myself, but it has been super good for me. Over the course of the class, I think the most meaningful questions -- the questions that changed my life -- were these: Did I make a difference in the world? Was I a good person? Who did I love, and who loved me? As I have come to ponder these questions, as well as my own values, I must admit that I have come to understand that it's possible to make a difference in the way I want to make a difference whether or not I work for myself. In fact, teaching others brings me more joy than almost anything else in life. Having giving this a lot of thought, I have actually made the decision to change my major from business management to teaching.
